Peppermint: Perfect for headaches, mosquito bites, nausea, gas, and can be made into a cooling mist that can drop the body temperature by up to 5 degrees. Uplifting for the spirits.

Lavender: Lavender is calming, both emotionally, and to inflamed areas of skin. Mix with Aloe Vera for sunburn, dab on insect bites or rashes, and diffuse to create a calm atmosphere.

Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus is a respiratory remedy, used for sore throats, coughs and congestion. Rub it on the neck and chest during the day, and at bedtime. Is also effective used in a diffuser or humidifier at night, and rubbed on the bottoms of the feet.

Helichrysum: Known as the mother of all oils for healing, helichrysum can be used in addition to ant of the other oils to help them work more effectively. It is also useful for bruises, sprains, and other injuries.

Nutmeg: Nutmeg oil works similar to a narcotic for pain relief. Apply it topically to areas of pain, such as back or knees. If the pain covers an area larger than could be covered by one drop, dilute the nutmeg oil in any plain cream or oil you have available, 15 drops to one ounce of carrier oil, then apply liberally.

Clove Bud: Clove bud oil is used for toothaches and other nerve-type pains. Apply to the base of the affected tooth with a cotton swab. If using on a larger area, dilute as suggested under Nutmeg.
